| The Model 441A and 446A magnetizers combine the features and modern design of our larger magnetizers with low cost and ease-of-use. These units are designed for magnetizing parts that require relatively low energy to magnetize, such as Alnico and small ferrite parts. Charging is performed automatically following each magnetizing pulse, making it easy to magnetize large batches of parts quickly and with little user interaction. Magnetizing can be triggered through either a front-panel pushbutton or through an optional footswitch (includes safety guard). If the power switch is turned off or if mains power fails, all stored energy is safely discharged internally. Special circuitry allows for connection to either underdamped or overdamped magnetizing fixtures. An optional modification allows the fixture temperature to be monitored (through a thermocouple embedded in the fixture) and disables the magnetizer if heating becomes excessive. | ||
